Es ist Zeit für das Oktoberfest, Prost! (It’s time for Oktoberfest, Cheers!)

It’s that time of year again! On Saturday, September 21, 2019, The Shoppes at Piedmont will once again be offering a little taste of Bavaria with their Oktoberfest celebration. Open to adults 21 and over, this beloved German tradition has something for everyone to enjoy.

From a great selection of brews and food to awesome live music performed by AM/FM and the best polka Germany has to offer, this year’s festival is not one to be missed. Join us for food, beer and festivities including a stein holding competition, yodeling competition, and costume contest.

Wieviel kostet ein Bier? (How much is a beer?)

If you’re looking to celebrate the German way, beer tickets are $6 and full packages range from $25-40, depending on the package you opt for: basic or VIP. Any additional beer is $6/ticket, which is a great deal if you have the VIP package and get the German beer for that.

• The basic package ($25) includes two drink tickets and a custom beer stein, which are good for local or domestic brews only.
• Upgrading to the VIP package ($40) will get you three drink tickets and a custom beer stein, which can be used on local, domestic or imported German VIP beers. Additional drink tickets are $6 each with purchase of the VIP package.

Regardless of which package you choose, you’ll receive an authentic custom beer stein to take home with you! However, quantities are limited, so be sure to arrive on time to claim yours.

There will be a varied selection of brews ranging from hard ciders and IPAs to Porters and Marzens to choose from at this year’s Oktoberfest.

• Starting with domestic, attendees can select from Backswing Brewing Co., Zipline Brewing Co., White Elm Brewing Co., Angry Orchard, Empyrean Brewing Co., Samuel Adams and Founders., just to name a few.
• Those who are looking for a more authentic Oktoberfest experience can opt for one of the VIP German imports, which include Ayinger, Paulaner and Hoffbrau and Furstenberg. For those with the VIP wristbands, additional beers are $6 regardless of domestic or German beer! You'll be getting amazing German beer for the same price everyone else gets domestic!

Don't wait! once the Beer Packages are gone, you will be stuck with plastic cups that don't hold as much beer for the same price!
